IP6 Oro ® is a food supplement based on IP6 and Inositol (myo-inositol), vitamin B2, zinc and selenium, to support the immune system. After 15 years of exhaustive research, a group of scientists came up with a formula that maximizes the benefits of IP-6 and consists of using Inositol Hexaphosphate and Inositol simultaneously, the proportion between the different components being of great importance. IP6 Gold contains this formula.
IP6 Oro ® is reinforced with vitamin B2, zinc and selenium to support the immune system.
IP6 Oro ® Basic contains only the IP6 formula together with myo-inositol, without aromas or excipients.
Inositol is an organic compound from the polyol or polyalcohol family present in plasma membranes and in other natural product structures. A vitamin B complex nutrient that the body uses in small amounts to function.
It has the same chemical composition as glucose (the main source of energy in living organisms), but atoms are organized differently. It is found in peas, rice, wheat bran, and nuts
.
Inositol was first identified more than a century and a half ago by the German chemist Josef Sherer (1850-1851), who isolated it from muscle tissue and named the new molecule “inos” from the Greek muscle. Nowadays, the study of soluble and membrane inositols, referred to as inositides, has covered almost every aspect of cell biology. Of the nine possible isomers of inositol, myo-inositol
is the most abundant in nature.
Myo-inositol is part of all the membranes (outer linings) of cells and is present in all animal tissues, with the highest levels in the heart and brain. It helps cells make membranes and respond to messages from their environment. It is relatively scarce, but it has great functional importance when associated with other structures
.
Inositol hexaphosphate is a compound that is also known as IP6, phytic acid, or phytate.
Inositol hexaphosphate was first identified in 1855. It is found in almost all mammal cells, including human cells.
In whole fiber and cereals, inositol hexaphosphate is bound to protein. For inositol hexaphosphate to be absorbed from the intestine and transported in the blood stream to different organs, inositol hexaphosphate must first be released from protein complexes. There is an enzyme called phytase that is present in food and is also found in the intestines. This enzyme can degrade inositol hexaphosphate, making it inactive. The longer it takes for inositol hexaphosphate to be released from the fiber, the longer it will remain accessible to the enzyme to degrade inositol hexaphosphate. So while a high-fiber diet may contain high amounts of inositol hexaphosphate, you may not get the full benefit. Pure inositol hexaphosphate - in the form of a dietary supplement - is recommended because this way it can be absorbed before the enzyme has a chance to destroy it
.
Inositol, included in the group of B vitamins, and inositol hexaphosphate (IP6), are compounds that are abundant in cereals and legumes such as rice, corn, sesame, soy, beans, etc. The Mediterranean diet, considered to be a healthy diet due to the high consumption of whole grains, legumes and nuts, among others, offers a consumption of approximately 1 g of IP6 per day.
IP6 Oro ® is an exclusive formula, the product of exhaustive research, of inositol hexaphosphate (IP6) and myo-inositol extracted from rice bran.
In nature, the IP6 molecule is found bound to calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. Specifically, 1.6 g of IP6 (4 capsules half a measuring spoon for powdered products) contains 295.5 mg of calcium (36.9% VRN), 356.5 mg of phosphorus (50.9% VRN) and 76.5 mg of magnesium (20.4% VRN
).
Calcium, phosphorus and magnesium contribute to normal energy metabolism. Calcium contributes to the process of cell division and differentiation. Magnesium helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue and contributes to the process of cell division. And phosphorus contributes to the normal functioning of cell membranes.
In addition, capsule and powder formats (except IP6 Oro ® Basic) contain riboflavin (vitamin B2), zinc and selenium, which contribute to the protection of cells against oxidative damage. In addition, zinc and selenium contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system, and vitamin B2 helps reduce tiredness and fatigue
.
Due to the content of IP6 and myo-inositol, 1 dose of powdered products is equivalent to 8 capsules.
