Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (DHA and EPA)
They come from NKO ® Krill Oil and fish oil.
DHA is the most abundant omega-3 long-chain polyunsaturated acid (PUFA) in the central and peripheral nervous system. It is found primarily in the phospholipids of neuronal and glial membranes.
It constitutes 25% of the total fatty acids present in the cerebral cortex, 30% in the retina and up to 60% of the total fatty acids in the phospholipids of the membrane of the outer segment of the rods that contain the photoreceptors of the eyes1,2.
The decrease of DHA in the brain and retina interferes with normal neurogenesis (the birth of new neurons), with neural function and other mechanisms necessary for good visual function 3.
The retina is almost completely dependent on the dietary supply of DHA, since it cannot synthesize DHA from the linolenic acid precursor (18:3, n-3) 4.
The DHA and EPA from NKO ® Krill Oil are in the form of phospholipids, allowing for better incorporation of omega-3 into various organs, such as the eyes 5,6.

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) helps maintain vision under normal conditions. This beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.
Saffron
Saffron (Crocus sativus L.) is well known as a condiment, whose use is universally widespread and highly prized. Its stigmas contain a high concentration of crocin, the carotenoid responsible for its characteristic reddish

Affron ® EYE is an extract of saffron stigmas standardized to 3% crocin, designed for eye health. The extract comes from Spanish crops (Albacete) with a certificate of organic cultivation. Other carotenoids
OcuProtect ® Retina contains lutein, zeaxanthin, astaxanthin and beta-carotene.
Carotenoids are organic pigments found in plants and other organisms such as microalgae, where they have the role of participating in energy transfer or protecting them from oxidation.
Human beings are unable to synthesize carotenoids, so we must obtain them through diet, these compounds being important for their biological function as pro-vitamin A.
Vitamin A helps maintain vision under normal conditions.
