What is Chromium?​
Chromium is a food supplement made from yeast enriched with chromium, under the NutraFeast® patent.​
It consists of organic forms of this mineral, which increase absorption compared with inorganic forms (chloride or picolinate).​
Chromium helps:​
- To maintain normal blood glucose levels.​
- To support the normal metabolism of macronutrients.​
Chromium-enriched yeast​
Chromium-enriched yeast (NutraFeast®) is a high-quality option, as it provides organic forms of this mineral, which are more readily absorbed than inorganic forms (chloride and picolinate).​ The same type of yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) is used as that used to make beer, bread or kombucha, but with a different end product. It is a primary culture yeast, meaning it is cultivated specifically for its nutritional value and not as a by-product. The main difference from baker’s yeast is that nutritional or fortified yeast is inactive, so it cannot overgrow in the body: these microorganisms are not present in the product.​
