What is Metabolicare®?
Metabolicare ® is a dietary supplement that contains a standardized bergamot extract (Vazguard ®) formulated with Fitosoma® technology, which increases the absorption and bioavailability of polyphenols, together with a yeast enriched with chromium (NutraFast ®).
Bergamot
Bergamot (Citrus bergamia Risso & Poit. ) is a hybrid citrus fruit between bitter orange and lemon, native to tropical Asia, but has been cultivated for centuries in the region of
Calabria, Italy.
This small 5-meter tree belongs to the Rutaceae family, with large dark green ovate leaves similar to those of lemons, fragrant white star-shaped flowers and round yellow-green fruits. The peel of the pear-shaped fruit contains essential oils and other bioactive components, while the juice contains a unique pattern of polyphenols, especially a type of flavonoid called flavanones
.
Bergamot extract (Vazguard ®) comes exclusively from fruits from crops located in the Calabria area (southern Italy).
What does the patented Fitosoma® formula consist of?
Bergamot polyphenols are poorly absorbed in the intestine, so it is important to incorporate a formulation that increases their bioavailability.
Fitosoma ® technology originates following the concept of biomimetics, that is, in the belief that, by imitating nature and supporting it with the knowledge provided by research, through processes and principles developed in the laboratory, benefits can be achieved in terms of rationalization, simplification, sustainability, tolerability and human safety.
The Fitosoma ® technology follows a patented method by which the individual components of a plant extract are coated with a phospholipid (phosphatidylcholine or phosphatidylserine). The human body recognizes these phospholipids as nutrients and allows the active ingredients of plants to naturally cross cell membranes, optimizing their
absorption.
In a simple way: Fitosoma ® Technology mimics the natural process of nutrient absorption, to bring an active ingredient from the plant into the cell.
Chromium-enriched yeast
Chromium-enriched yeast (NutraFast ®) is a high-quality option. The same type of yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) used to make beer, bread or kombucha is used, but with a different end product. It is a primary culture yeast, meaning that it is cultivated specifically for its nutritional value and not as a by-product. The main difference between bakers yeast is that nutritional or fortified yeast is inactive, so it has no growth capacity in the body. Its natural fermentation process is free of candida or other bacteria

Chromium-enriched yeast offers organic forms of this mineral, with greater absorption than inorganic forms (chloride and picolinate).
A commitment to product quality and purity
When preparing bergamot extract (Vazguard ®), GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards have been followed, as well as botanical identification and plant DNA sequencing to confirm the authenticity of the plant extract.
For chromium-enriched yeast (NutraFast ®), a non-transgenic yeast strain (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) is used and mixed with a mineral salt (chromium) after fermentation. A highest-quality wet mixing process is used to maximize the consistency of mineral potency in each batch.

Ingredients: Vazguard ® (flavanones from bergamot fruit juice, Citrus bergamia Risso & Poiteau and sunflower phospholipids, formulated with Fitosoma ® technology); bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose; vegetable capsule; yeast enriched with chromium; anti-caking agents: magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide.
